What retail buyers usually require
For EU retail, a GFSI-recognised food-safety scheme — IFS, BRCGS or FSSC 22000 — is often a listing condition, together with social-compliance codes such as SEDEX, ETI or amfori BSCI.
Products must meet the destination’s contaminant and pesticide-residue limits, for example EU Regulation 2023/915.
